    Question about leather care

This strange spot appeared on my dopp kit. It is natural vegetable tanned leather. I don't know what the spot is or where it came from. Anybody have any ideas of what it might be and tips for removal?

Well... Appeared? Looks like an oil spot - something soaked into the leather and now it's there. That's what it looks like whenever I get an oily liquid on something of mine that is leather. Never found a way to get it out other than just letting it dry, although you could try a leather cleaner (since all the shoe care advice says using a leather cleaner dries up the oils that protect the leather).

Yeah it just showed up a few weeks ago. Not sure what got on it but I might have to look into trying a leather cleaner.
