The pant hem length I had tailored to quarter break with those shoes specifically so I gotta assume it was all sagging in the suspenders. The tailor also slimmed from the knee down cause black lapel doesn't really have an ankle measurement option. I think the pants may now be more slim than the jacket looks. Other than fiddling with the skirting of the jacket I don't know if there are any more options.

Unfortunately the sleeves have functioning buttons. I did have this measurement adjusted for any future orders there.

Hi, I've been a main site reader for a few years and infrequent thread browser.

With the good review of the Target selvedge denim and the sale last weekend, I decided to purchase the Target selvedge jacket. https://www.target.com/p/men-s-selve...66#lnk=sametab

This is both my first trucker jacket and my first piece of selvedge denim, so it's a bit out my comfort zone and I'm not sure what to look for in fit.

I'm 5'10", 170 lbs, normally a 40R. I bought the medium. Sleeves are definitely too long, but I'm hesitant to bring it to the tailor because they'll have to be brought up from the shoulder.

Should I embrace it and roll the sleeves up, exchange it for a small and see if that fits, or return it and try other brands? Thanks!

I'd try a small, but looking at the sleeves, they're made for great apes, and not homo sapiens sapiens, so even the small might be too long in the sleeve. It also looks like you have enough room in the torso to try sizing down without it being too small, so start with that. A decent tailor could cut the cuff and sew it higher up to shorten the sleeves. You'll lose the full sleeve slit (like on shirts) but you'll still have that buttonable cuff. I've had something like that done to a rain jacket and it turned out really well

Definitely try to size down. Denim jackets should be a little snug to start. The denim, especially selvedge denim, will stretch to fit comfortably with a little wear. You can always have a tailor adjust the sleeve length but besides that it also looks big in the shoulders.

I could really use some feedback on a suede jacket fit. I have no experience with suede jackets but I quite like this one I picked up recently. In terms of fit it is somewhere between fitted and snug. But how snug is too snug? Any feedback is appreciated!

I plan on wearing it unbuttoned mostly but would like to be able to wear it buttoned as well.

I think it looks fine but how constricting is it while on? Also looks like it would be too tight if you layered more than you are currently wearing.

Nice jacket! I think it fits you well. It looks like you are thin and lanky and it follows your lines well when zipped. It has a similar fit as the legs on your jeans. I agree that it looks even better unzipped.

Yeah it is a bit constricting, especially when buttoned. And that only gets worse with more layers. I will probably mainly be using it with t-shirts and short sleeve shirts.

Could anyone wearing Levi’s 541 (30x32) compare them with the bonobos chinos that are on sale now? Seems a good deal and I don’t have a lot of chinos.
