Boxing Day (Dec 26th) is the Canadian equivalent to Black Friday. I managed some pretty decent deals:

Ben Sherman Harrington, although the color available was something a bit off beat called "Black Grape". Cost $48 CAD/$35 USD.

Also scored a beat-around Ben Sherman Parka for $98 CAD/$73 USD.

My favorite deal was an Eton Wool Knit tie in green, since I was lacking a green knit tie. $12 CAD/$9. Original retail price was well over $100.

    Recent Purchases

Thought I'd share some unboxing porn. I've been looking for a cashmere hoodie all year. Suitsupply had one, but they were sold out of my size. And at $250 including tax, I was a bit skeptical of buying Suitsupply cashmere. I noticed N.Peal had a sale and, because the exchange rate is decent right now, I got one as a late Christmas present for myself for $300 all-in.

It's an extravagance, but I counted five occasions this year where I wished I had a cashmere hoodie so I thought it worth the splurge.

The presentation is beautiful and the construction is superb.

Snagged the last one in stock on ralphlauren.com. Got it at $220 instead of like $1030. Usually wear a 39r/40r in very slim cuts, and they only had 38r left in stock so I'm hoping in Ralph Lauren's "slim" connery fit it around where I need it to be.

My late holiday gift to myself finally arrived last night. First jacket purchase from Gagliardi and I'm impresssed. Bought during their 30% off sale.

Didn't snap any in person pictures because it's going straight to the tailor at lunch. The blue is a little darker than the websites pictures which I was pleasantly surprised about.

One of their reps told me that all their jackets are fully canvassed, I didn't believe him seeing as their jackets are even cheaper than SS. Do you kind having your tailor check when he opens it up?

Sure thing, she gets curious too when I bring her new stuff. When I dropped off my S&M stuff she couldn't believe that I got something half canvased for so cheap

You can use the pinch test to check whether it's fully canvassed or not. I'd be amazed if all their stuff was fully canvassed, since they already use some nice fabrics, that would be one of the greatest suiting values around.
