I gave up on sunglasses a long time ago. I've never found a pair that look good on me. I can only hope to mitigate the awkwardness. :-P

Try these, they might work for you... one of the very few that work for me:

I like 'em. Maybe I can find them somewhere locally to try them on first. Kind of pricey, though. It's the kind of thing I may put on my b-day wish list.

@Alan - These are the RayBan sunglasses I own. Made in Italy and really comfortable. I got them new on Style Forum for like $40 and put prescription lenses in them.

They're a bit cheaper on Amazon... I got them for like $104 when I got mine, but now they're higher:

I need to get mine fixed

Oh man. Just picked up another pair of Heritage Straight Fit Chinos from LEC in Gray Stone. Couldn't pass them up for $14 and free shipping.

I restrained myself from buying a few shirts during yesterday's LEC $29 sale, so I compromised an bought this shirt instead (can't find it on the site now). I have couple others of that style and the fabric is very soft. I like the new multi-check poplin better, but I think for less than half the price this is a good alternative, and I think the poplin would be too summer-specific whereas I could wear this year round.

On my lunch break, I picked up a $200 Claiborne grey sportcoat for $15 at JC Penney. This is according to their new pricing scheme so I don't know what the actual retail was under the old system, but it's wool and it has a ticket pocket.

The only catch... I got it for a friend of mine (a 44S), but they didn't have it in my size (40R). 100% wool sportcoats for $15 don't come around very often, no matter who's making them, so I figured I would grab it and worry about the consequences later. If it doesn't fit him afterall or he tells me to butt out of his style business, I'll just return it. It was just too cheap to leave on the rack.

I haven't purchased anything since Lent started last Wednesday, but I did receive a pre-Lent online purchase in the mail this week. L.L. Bean Signature searsport flannel suit. Pretty sure I got the last one in size 36, as the 36 option disappeared completely from the site shortly after I put my order through. Still a little pricey, even with the 20% discount, but the fit is almost perfect. Hopefully my tailor can shorten the sleeves without TOO much trouble.

It's a shame I won't get a lot of opportunity to wear it. The weather is already pretty spring-like here in Colorado (40s-50s and sunny). I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a summer internship in my home state of Montana, and if it's anything like last year, I'll have until July 4th before summer starts in earnest. Perhaps I can get some use out of it then.

    Ben
