    Advice for a smaller wallet

    Like a lot of guys I carry a standard wallet, but it's so bulky and full of things I rarely use. One of the first things I do when I sit down is remove my wallet and set it on the desk or table, which is not a good thing in many cases, but I hate sitting on it or feeling it bounce around in my coat pocket.

    Given this, I reviewed the contents of my wallet and have determined that what I require on a daily basis is the following:

    2 Credit Cards (maybe one)
    1 ATM Card
    1 Driver's License

    Everything else (insurance cards, frequent flyer cards, pictures, etc.) can be stored on my smart phone. The only other thing I need a place for is currency.

    With those requirements in mind, I'd like some advice on what I should choose to replace my bulky wallet. I do not want to go pure money clip, so I'm thinking of a cardholder, but I'm really up in the air.

    Has anyone else made this change? What do you all recommend?

    If I was buying myself a wallet today it would be this;

    I currently use a Saddleback Leather Front Pocket Wallet that I like a lot, its just a little trickier getting cash in and out.

    I dont always carry too much cash but in my Mitchell compact I can fit 6 cards, a few business cards, and about 10 bills very easily. Max would be like 8 cards, 4 business cards, and 15 bills.

    As a bonus, the thumb slide doubles as a bottle opener:

    I switched to this a few years ago and will never go back

    Here's mine: the Charleston from Holtz Leather. Incredibly good quality for the price, and really nice people as well. I find the two outside pockets comfortably hold 2-3 cards each, and the opening at the top is perfect for cash, assuming you're not carrying tons and tons of bills!

    I carry the Bellroy Slim Sleeve, which has held up beautifully for the last 4 years now. At any given time I'm carrying about 8 bills and 8 cards, though I'd like to slim down the card selection. For your (even more minimal) needs the Bellroy Card Sleeve might be even more appropriate, though: https://bellroy.com/products/card-sl...vD_BwE#image-8

    I know you send you are not ready to go full money clip, but I have used this one for the past few years and it is great! The bottle opener comes in handy too!

    I've used a card holder for years. Much better for maintaining the line of a jacket. I highly recommend it.

    Do it!!!! This is awesome. I've had it for a number of years. Its now stretched just a bit as I've occasionally added a card or two, every once in a while, but its perfect for what you want it for.
