I think most people go half a size down but keep their width. It's also quite roomy width-wise.

    So if you're usually a 10.5D, you'd be a 10D in the TruBalance last.

I am a 9.5D/9.5E in most dress shoes (depending on the last and the shoemaker). I fit a 9D very comfortably.

Down a half size and and kept the same width as normal for me in the 403's. The internet is full of mixed reviews and opinions about the sizing of Aldens. My advice is to find a place nearby where you can try them on for yourself. That or order through a distributor who can handle an exchange/return, like The Shoe Mart.

Down half size. So if a 9D in AE, do an 8.5D in Barrie/Trubalance last.
