Possible to repair rip in suit jacket

I have a SS Havana that I have worn quite regularly for about 4-5 years. I just noticed a rip near the elbow on one of the sleeves. Definitely noticeable. Is it possible to repair something like this? Or is the repair cost prohibitive to the point of being smarter to just buy a replacement?

I would talk to a tailor about it. There are definitely ways to repair rips but I have no idea the cost.

The style/material/color of the jacket may dictate what manner of repair is most feasible and how much it will cost. A jacket with a pronounced pattern or a heavily textured material will probably hide repairs better than something in a solid color or a smoother material. On a particularly casual jacket you could even explore the possibility of adding elbow patches or something, whereas on a worsted suit jacket your options may be much more limited and the results not as aesthetically satisfactory.

I paid $60 to reweave a rip (no longer than a dime) on my wool pants.

If Prince Charles can do it, you can do it.
