Thanks! This is how they started off https://dappered.com/2015/04/in-revi...cap-toe-boots/ before I gave them a light coat of Sno-Seal. I do sometimes miss the original suede (mine didn't look as orange as the dappered's review) but these go with my style much more often/better.

Plus, I got the boots for $40 on eBay or something so wasn't too big of a risk dubbing it.

It does, but I think a lot of companies use something similar. In any case, I will now call these my Andrew Lock derDEEZ

Yeah, I'd have to agree with you. The colour of those boots looks good to my eye. I'd like to get a pair of brown Dalton's, but I don't like the look of the coffee ones. Unless someone can post an image of the boots to dissuade me otherwise.

Hey all you folks that like Daltons, but don't like the coffee brown. Check out the Long Branch in Golden Brown Chromexcel. https://www.allenedmonds.com/outlet/...ts/SF6043.html I absolutely love mine. I had them resoled recently and the uppers look better than ever. They've aged into a very nice chestnut brown. The yellow really only shines through in the areas that haven't darkened as much. They are beautiful, incredibly comfortable, and they have speed hooks. There's nothing not to like.

And I agree with you. I have a pair of 5th avenue in coffee and I don't think the color would go as well on the Daltons as the old dark brown shade AE use to offer.

I bought a pair of Thursdays Captain boots because I loved the deep dark brown they offered. Beautiful looking but they didn't fit me well and I had to return them.

Astorflex today (got a complement on them this morning actually; as if they were something expensive).
