The Seiko Dive Watch / Todd Snyder Marlin

Good afternoon and Happy New Year everyone.

Like all of you - I have more than a few watches (Everything from Tissot to MVMT), and because I like to 'change it up' I don't own one 'really expensive watch' preferring to change watches from time to time.

I recently purchased the Todd Snyder Mod Watch in Olive to add to my collection - and have been doing some further research on a couple of other watches to which I would love to get your opinions:

The Todd Snyder Marlin (blackout)....More for dress
The Seiko Dive Watch (SKX013) to balance between dress (sportcoat and pants) to casual (sportcoat jeans, no sportcoat and jeans)

    Thoughts and thank you.

If you don’t have a dress watch, I would pick up the Marlin.

While I sometimes wear a sport watch with a sport coat, I feel the SKX is a little chunky for that role. But if you like the look, the SKX is one of the best values out there (I personally own an SKX and love it).

Two very different watches. Your lifestyle probably comes into play here. I lean towards the casual/active side so the Seiko would be my choice hands down.

Gentlemen....I greatly appreciate it. And realize that the SKX007 is also a good option.

FWIW I really like my SKX009. I know it is not the 007, but the watches are very similar. If you do decide to go for the SKX007 I don't think you will be disappointed.

I just have to say - I hate the typography on that Timex. There's a lot of "vintage"-looking stuff that's cool, but not those numbers.

    Quick update.

After a great email exchange with Marc from Long Island Watch - I went with the Orient Bambino (a lot of good reviews on here as well) for dress....

Still loving the Seiko Dive watch...that's coming next if not soon.

Gotta agree, the Bambino is a fine looking watching. Which makes we wonder why I don't wear mine anymore...
