I almost went down the rabbit hole of higher end gshocks and oceanus models for Casio, but figured I should stick with models that are easy to get and cheap. Casio really shines when you consider how inexpensive their watches are. That being said, serious nod to the Oceanus OCW-S100-1AJF https://www.seiyajapan.com/products/ocw-s100-1ajf it's such a cool watch. Zaratsu level polishing and seriously high tech for under $600.

oceanus would be in my lineup for sure. Casio is my favorite budget brand. They tend to outpunch timex for the cash IMO.

I was surpsied how tough tudor was for me. I always think of the BB Red when I think of Tudor but I love the ranger, heritage chrono, and they make a nice GMT. A blue Pelgos would be hard for me to pass up too.

Tudor is a pass for me. The BB36 and BB58 are the only ones that work for me, size-wise. Would love a thinner, ~40mm Pelagos and Pepsi GMT though.

Yeah, there were some size compromises for me, I admit. But I liked the models enough to skirt my boundaries.

I kind of dug into the Tudor site, more than I had before. The chrono was a little busy for me, but I was surprised by how much I dug the Style and 1926, and they're in under 40mm. If the Ranger was available in 38 or 39, that would've jumped one of them.

I've never handled a real Black Bay, and while 41mm is a bit larger than I like to go, the lugs are relatively short, so I'm willing to go there. And the Pepsi GMT is just rad, though I wish it was 38mm
