The itch to pull the trigger is strong now that I’ve made my decision. But I want to get more things sold before I purchase, and the AD had no ETA on the model I want anyway... ay caramba.

I will give you $50 for the hamilton blackout if that helps.

    Going with the black dial.

I actually had some second thoughts about going with the black versus the white, then saw this video: https://youtu.be/yOvH1iQWLvY

The white dial looks great in photos but in the video the matte dial + brushed case/bracelet end up looking a bit flat to me. The slight shimmer of the sunburst dial on the black watch makes for a nicer visual effect, IMO.

I should be getting the payout for the higher end watches I've sold next week sometime, so will make a down payment with my AD then.

Is there a shortage of the OP models like pretty much all of the other SS sports models (asking because you said you put a down payment and now have to wait)?

It's a little late to be of any help, and not sure what you ended up paying, but DavidSW has an unworn one for $4875 https://davidsw.com/product/rolex-11...th-black-dial/ (pretty sure this is the model you went with).

In any event, congrats on the purchase!

AFAIK there’s no shortage or waitlist for any of the OPs. But from what I understand, Rolex sends ADs what they feel like, when they feel like it, and their response to special orders is usually “Thanks for the request.” So it could be a week before I get my watch, or it could be a month or two. But putting the down payment at least ensures that the next black OP 34 they receive is mine.

I’m going for the AD purchase experience and factory warranty on this one, otherwise I could have bought from Joma, as I’ve done with a number of high end watches I’ve owned.

    Gotcha.

Just an FYI for any potential future purchases - you still get factory warranty from DavidSW.
