Looking for someone that does watch mods reliably or a place to buy modified watches.

I want a semi-custom (modded) watch or 2. I would be happy to supply the watch and purchase the parts if needed. I would like something different in a larger (44mm) watch-perhaps a diver and a pilot style watch. I am thinking of a Seiko for the base watch. I'd like a sterile dial for one thing but am open to suggestions on other options/features. Looking for suggestions and recommendations. I did use the search function but did not come up with anything.

    Thanks so much!

@idvsego may be up for this! He modded my first Invicta and got me into modding them and Seikos myself. I'm far too careless to do work for others though (see my recent what watch are you wearing today posts... Dials are all marred because of my fumble fingers).

Thanks for the reply. I would like to try it myself but I have zero technical skill so best I leave it to someone else.

From a guy who's only recently got into it, you don't need much skill. Just some basic tools (I don't even have a caseback remover, I just use a ball of sticky side out duct tape) and patience/reading how to forums/posts on Google. The most readily/easily modded watches are Seikos and Invictas (the Invictas have the better movement with hacking seconds hand at a much lower price than Seiko, also that same movement, NH35a is only ~$30 on eBay).

Thanks for the info. I will reach out to idvsego to see if he has an interest and I believe I'll gather more info about learning how to do it for myself.

    Have a great weekend!

Northeast Watchworks. He does custom Seikos. I had him mod my Seiko Turtle http://www.newatchworks.com/
