The first two items (pocket square and watch) are things I consciously would not have thought to wear previously.

brown with grey I didn't even think of as a possibility, but I now enjoy playing with and mixing in this color scheme.
Count me among those who never ever considered brown with grey. Now, it's easily my favorite combination.

Also: Bowties. Being extremely tall (6'8") I figured a long tie was absolutely necessary; but, starting with black-tie formalwear and movnig into some office suit-and-tie mixtures, I find myself going for one occasionally. It's amazing what one night of a few "Hey nice [self-tied] bow-tie!" comments can do for one's ego

Give a sarong/pareo a try! (I wear mine at knee length or so). And if anybody gets in your face about cultural appropriation, call them a segregationist and (optional) punch them in the face!

Brown and earth tones. I wore a lot of black as a youth and young man, partially because of being in the music scene.

Yeah--that's one for me as well, until about ten years ago, and I commented to a girlfriend that I didn't understand how anyone could pay $200 for a pair of jeans. Her response was, "I'll pay $500 for a pair of jeans if they make my ass look good."

How can you argue with that logic?

Correct rebuttal would be "baby your ass looks amazing in anything"

And then she wears mom jeans and he regrets it.

Brotip: If a lady asks for your opinion, you have to lie a little, but when she's being honest about herself with herself, just shut up.

She was someone I dated for just a short time. She spent her own money on her own clothing. She's now the CEO of a company she help start shortly after we stopped seeing each other romantically and can probably afford to pay just about as much as she likes for jeans.

And her ass did look amazing in just about anything--I probably told her too often.

Missed the gravy train all the way around.
