    I prefer the cutaway for sure. I dont like the look of the buttondown.. too busy for me.

    If you're planning on wearing them under a jacket, the button-down collars will probably stand up (literally) better and not get flattened and disappear under the jacket collar. Worn on their own, I like the spread collar better as the shape tends to help visually widen the upper chest/shoulder area, which I think is more flattering for most men.

    For the size guide? Yes. On it the Large looks like a pretty standard Large but there is also a discussion comment saying sizing down is definitely necessary. So, any thoughts on sizing?

    Do NOT size down. These were made with the expectation of some shrinkage after wash/dry and mine fit perfectly after a wash. If anything there are folks over on the SF thread that sized up one to compensate.

    That guy is European so sizing is different over there. S&M has mentioned to keep your normal size for a slim fit, size up for more "classic" fit.
