Father's Day Watches: Help me choose!

Long time listener, first time caller...

Received two watches for Father's Day and I can keep one.

Citizen Men's Eco-Drive Titanium Chronograph Watch with Perpetual Calendar and Date, BL5250-02L

Orient Men's 'Ray II' Japanese Automatic Stainless Steel Diving Watch

It's unlikely that I'll use all the functions found on the Citizen but I am intrigued by the Eco-Drive. I have wanted an automatic though and the Orient provides that as well as good looks.

I haven't owned either brand before but I do wear a watch every day so I don't think I should be too concerned about the winding the automatic.

    Any input is appreciated!

I have the Ray II and love it. It's my first automatic watch. I wear it at least every weekday, pretty much everywhere, including the Atlantic ocean on a trip a couple years ago. Only time I have to wind it is if I take it off Friday evening and don't wear it again until Monday morning.

Orient Ray. I think I the dial of the Citizen is too busy and I’d much rather have the automatic.

Personally I prefer the look of the Ray II but I've owned two Eco Drive watches as my every day wear and I couldn't have a higher opinion of them. Not a single problem in 15+ years and having had the perpetual calendar feature on my previous Citizen but not on my current one, I can say that I miss having it

Ray. I have a thing about chronos that take chunks out of the hour markers. And the ray is a surprisingly versatile watch.

Ray. I have an older Mako, and it is great, but the newer Rays are fantastic looking

Ray by a landslide for me. I really like the looks of it, good size, nice auto movement, good water resistance. Lots to like.

I have the Mako II, and I love it. It's a little chunky for me, so it's mostly weekend wear, but it's a gorgeous watch, and the Ray is as well.
Donít call what your wearing an outfit. Donít ever say your car is broke.
Donít sing with a fake British accent. Donít act like your familyís a joke.
