AE Higgins Mill sizing

I just purchased two pairs of the Higgins Mill in tumbled leather and can’t decide which I should keep. My feet measure 10 1/4 and 10 3/4 on a brannock device. I have a pair of 5th Avenue and A pair of Daltons both in a 10.5 Both were snug when purchased and both have broken in and fit well.
Upon researching the HM many said they are roomy and to size down. The 10.5 out of the box fit well a little wider then my other AE purchases. The size 10 are snug in the sides.
I know these are supposed to be roomier. My only concern is after they break in if the 10.5 will feel too big.
Those of you with HM I’m curious if they break in like the other AE lasts or do they stay pretty much the same.

My HMs are actually my first pair of AEs. I'm a 9C Brannock, so if that width isn't available, my tendency is size down a half size, which is what I did for my HMs. They fit perfectly if just a bit snug and broke in after only 3-4 wears.

I went my normal size and they fit fine. I think they stretched more when I started wearing thicker socks with them otherwise they would not have felt too big wearing my normal socks.

I bought the boot in my normal size and they fit perfectly. I am wearing the boots with 'regular' socks, as opposed to a heavy wool or something similar.

I bought HM in usual AE 65 last size of 9 and it did seem a bit larger. However, I can't be sure if an 8.5 would have been better for me.

I bought a 9e, same as I wear in AE dress shoes. They fit well and are very comfy. But I think I would have been fine with a 9D.

Thanks everyone who replied. After going back and forth for days I decided to go with the 10.5 TTS.

At the end of the day I think either would have worked.

Just to add another data point, I’m a 9.5 on a Braddock, and my 9.5 Higgins Mills fit great.
