    can you use a brown shoe polish/cream to fix a scratch on a oxblood/burgundy boot?

    I got one of those chippewa service boots from sierra trading post a few months back but scratched the toe TT

    It'll be better than using no shoe polish/cream, but obviously it would be better to use the matching color. Do you have any pics?

    I scratched while walking up a staircase and the stair edge was jutting out

    Any reason you're wanting to use brown? You own a pair of burgundy boots. It seems reasonable to spend the 5-10 dollars on a jar of burgundy polish/cream.

    I had some work boots similar to this years ago. I would just spit on my thumb and smooth the scratches out. Granted, they were perpetually getting scuffed from use, so your mileage may vary.
