Question NikeID? make your own trainers? Opinions please guys

    Hey guys!

This is a great forum about all types of clothing and fashion! i have learn't quite a lot already that i was oblivious to before hand. Coming here today hoping to seek some advice/opinions from the pros. As i'm sure some of you would know, having a son who is 14 can be hard work when it comes to buying them clothes, especially trainers. He has been asking to design his own pair of trainers on the NikeID site and they get delivered to the house but i wasn't to sure about a few things. After actually checking the NikeID site, i was surprised at how many different colors and patterns you can have, you can even get your name written on the back!!

So, does anyone here know what the quality is like? bearing in mind they are for a 14 year old boy to be wearing out and about. They are expensive after all, so i would like them to last a while! It is really difficult keeping up with Kids Fashion these days and i'm hoping some of you guys can help me out! I know in general that Nike is a great brand, some of my clothing is branded Nike and a pair of my running shoes are Nike. But this design your own seems like a good idea but there must be more things to go wrong as they are not bulk manufactured... who know???

Looking forward to some reply's guys and getting the low down on NikeID!!

    Thanks in advance!!

OP, I've known a few people that had NikeID shoes, and they had zero complaints about the quality. General consensus was that the NikeID version was identical in all respects to the mass-produced versions of the same models.

I love playing with the nike ID stuff. It is more reasonably priced than I remember too.

OP, the NikeID shoes are exactly the same in terms of qualities as the standard Nikes. If you want them to last longer, note that if your child has a couple pairs of shoes they can rotate through, the shoes will last much longer than if they run the shoes into the ground by wearing them every single day.

The name is brilliant init??? My son says it all the time hahaha

But this is what i like to hear, same good old quality! I am going to have a little play on the ID site and might even make myself a pair. He has a few pairs of trainers already but you know what kids are like, he wears the same ones to go out in everyday hahaa
