FIT: Bonobos Slim or Standard Merino Sweater?

They are final sale, and I'm not sure which size to go with.
I wear a medium in all shirts, but the Bonobos slim fit shirts are too tight on me, and the standard fit always has to be taken in at the waist.
    Suggestions or comparisons?
6 feet tall, 190 pounds. 42 inch chest, 32 inch waist.
    Thank you kindly!

I would say go with a slim with that waist. But I also wear a slim large, but I'm shorter than you. 5'8", 180lbs, 44" chest, 31" waist. That said, I do squeeze into M slims with J. Crew if that helps for reference. I like my sweaters fairly close fitting.

I am 6', 192lbs, 42 Inch Chest and wear a 33 in bonobos pants and own 2 of the Merinos in Medium Standard. The chest is pretty form fitting but a slim might work, especially if you are in good shape (I am not lol). I wear a Large Slim in dress shirts because i have a 16.5 neck and can't button the medium (16) neck. I did just get a lambswool halfzip in medium standard that definitely would be skin tight in Slim but I also got a Halifax wool crew in Medium Slim (it's all they had so i took a chance) and it fits perfectly.... So I basically just confused you. Sorry.

So I ordered a Standard Medium off of Nordstrom to test the size, and it is Super baggy and such. Not even close to BR.
