Brooks Brothers Corporate Member Day Event 5/22/2015

    Good Evening Gents,

I am having a hard time debating on which two suits of the 1818 I should buy from BB on Wednesday. These two suits I will wear often maybe once a month, and they would be my first suits I ever owned for business meetings and etc. The problem I am having is they all say wool, and I live in Hawaii so something made for fall or winter would be awful here. Any suggestions on which of the suits fit my tropical lifestyle is greatly appreciated! Aloha!!

You could always take a look at their BrooksCool Suits, or one of their lighter, summer fabric options. The 1818 wool is manageable for a tropical climate, but might not be the most comfortable.

Thanks for the link, but one question for you @ZSF what is the difference in quality between the two? I know 1818 is considered the workhorse collection and some suits are made in the USA which I would hope are of good quality for the price. I would probably be wearing the two suits at least once a month, and slowly buy more to work into my wardrobe. I am new to style, and I don't fully understand what full canvas means but from what I have read it is the best type of suit. So, I am looking at buying a navy suit and one more additional color to alternate between the two.

I have a small list: one sport's coat, maybe three-six dress shirts, and two suits. The only thing I would be missing is some great dress pants to wear with the blazer! What do you plan on adding to your collection?

Why don't you just shop ebay, get your size, and save a ton of money since you're only wearing this once per month?

You bring up a great point why not use ebay? Well, I will be wearing it in the begining once a month then two-four times the month after. I plan on using the two suits as much as possible for business meetings and etc. The seersucker jacket is something I could wear weekly maybe even twice a week depending on the events planned each week. The only thing about the seersucker jacket is that it is in my opinion semi formal. I am going for a preppy type of style year around, and my weather does not change much living on an island. I am now contemplating on buying a more sturdy formal jacket for galas, fashion shows, and etc. instead of the seersucker one above.
