Add lining to an unlined blazer?

Is that something that a tailor can do? Is that something that people ever do? It's this blazer linked below. I think it's unlined because it has that silly removable vest.
    http://bananarepublic.gap.com/browse...&pid=214635002

It's the first unlined jacket I've had. I'm keen on the color and fit, but it bothers me that it's unlined (except for the sleeves). I put it on and take it off throughout the day, and lined jackets are just so much easier to slide on and off (not to mention that the unlined back feels like it's bunching and wrinkling my shirt underneath).

Anybody ever have a lining cut and sewn into an unlined jacket? What kind of prices did you encounter?

Sorry if n00b question, and thanks for any advice.

    It should be possible.

I prefer unlined jackets myself. I suspect having a jacket lined will most likely be ridiculously expensive. The ease of removing an unlined jacket or bunching of shirts is probably mostly in your head.....probably.

I wouldn't do it. Probably going to be expensive. Better off saving that cash to get a jacket that you really like.

I would wear the jacket as it was made to be worn. If it was designed to be worn with the vest, wear it with the vest.

I personally like unlined blazers. The have a casual feel and don't get overheated.

Thanks, all! I guess I just need to get used to it. I am liking it more the more I wear it.

I have an unlined sport coat from JCF

I do notice it takes a bit longer to put on and get my shirt straight underneath than my fully lined blazers.
