Peal and Co and Alden at Brooks Brothers

There are some great deals for Alden bluchers (brown captoe)and Peal and Co chelsea boots on sale for under $180 at Brooks Brothers in the sale section. Picked up a captoe blucher and chelsea myself!

Peals are made by Alfred Sargent in this case I believe.

There are a few sizes in the Pebble Wingtip boots which I would bet are Loake 1880.

Yeah, that's a crazy good price for those boots. I don't need them (like, at all!), but if I had the slightest justification, I would go for it.

Great price for the wingtip boots, but pebble leather boot and leather sole just doesn't make sense to me. One part of it says weather appropriate, and the other says just kidding.

I don't mind a leather sole on Chelsea boots. I like that it makes them more formal. I'll wear my Red Wings if I want something weather appropriate.

Agreed. I was referring to the wingtip. Edited my post b/c it was unclear.

Starting a new job next week which is causing me to search for brown workhorse cap toes... was going to roll with the (now) $120 cole haan lennox over at Nordstrom but these bluchers may take the cake!

Is one able to return an item purchased online to their store? The FAQ for the return policy is a bit unclear...

"You may also return items to any U.S. Brooks Brothers retail store.

Return your PayPal purchase by mail to receive a full refund. Returns made at any Brooks Brothers store location will only be eligible for store credit."

@redranger, are you sure the brown captoe is made by Alden, or Allen Edmonds? If so, do you know which last it is on?

Pretty sure those captoes are Alden based on the heel.

Re. the leather sole on the boots, I'd definitely have a Topy put on, but I almost always do that anyway. And at that price, you're still ahead of the game after paying for the Topy.
