I hope we don't bring the economy down.

Sometimes we strive to fill "gaps" in our wardrobe but it's important to remember that others may have no bed, no clothes (except the ones on their backs), or no job at all.

Just an idea to help you keep focused on the goal of getting by with less.
    Wonderful suggestion, Marathon.

I just finished up 2 months, save for a new watchband. I realized that I could substitute selling for buying to ease my workday boredom, so devoted my sartorial energies to clearing out some old "inventory" on eBay.

Well, since I just spent more money than I ought to to get a new suit (Suitsupply), I'm in on this. Nothing new for March/April. Does repairing shoes count?

Nice! Shore repairs shouldn't could since they are not a new purchase. Also if a robber breaks into to your house and stole all your underwear then you should be allowed to buy some new ones.

I was reading it takes 28 days to form a habit. So after March April should be easier.

I doubt it but it's possible. We are the .6% of people that care about clothing.

I'm in for March. Recently stocked up with a couple pairs of shorts, polos and tees, etc for spring. There's more I could use for spring, but it can wait a month. Don't really need anything from fall/winter clearances. I'll try for through April, but no promises!

Good first move, Brent! Clearing out the watch list and getting some stuff up for sale is always good!

I had already decided to do this for a month out of self-discipline anyway (I impulse bought a niiiice pair of JV*USA Boots and Blazer recently and my Amex is still feeling it...) but this thread has given me the impetus to go ahead and extend it through April.

Come May 1st, though, I'm slapping that same Amex down at the AE store and getting a pair of Cordovan Strands.... That I already "paid for" back before Christmas, it just hasn't been nice enough to go get sized and buy them!
