buying process via the AE shoe bank?

I'm sure this is simple, but my gin-fogged neurons aren't cooperating and I'm having a hard time understanding the full process. How does one buy through the Allen Edmonds shoe bank? I believe I understand correctly that one starts with an email to shoebank@allenedmonds.com with one's size, then a list of what's available comes back. Then what? Is there a mail/phone/online contact? I may be mistaken, but it seems like some of you have preferred in-store salespeople. Do you work with one of the outlet or retail stores?

    Thanks much, in advance.

Yep, email them and they'll send you a list of what's available in your size. If there's something you want, then call 'em up. There will be a phone contact in the email. In-store is obviously better if you don't know your size, but if you know your AE size the Shoebank is the way to go IMO.

How often is it advisable to email them for updated stock? I don't want to be pesky, but I assume it is continuously updated?

Email away! It's their fault they don't have a better customer interface!

I think it's how they have kept these sales pretty low profile outside of communities like this. I had no idea these sales existed before Threads. I'm not sure they have ever really been advertised on the main site. But there is a beauty in that. You can get crazy deals at times. They had 2 for $200 quite some time ago and then 2 for $250 pretty recently.

Thank you for this. Still upset I missed out on the Brooks 2nds sale earlier this year. But I ordered the Brooks Strand in Brown for 159 this time around. Had the Strand in walnut but it just wasn't my bag.

Also, is $159 a good price for the seconds BB AE's?
