Thick but slim fitting sweaters?
I am looking for thick sweaters that are fairly slim. Most chunky sweaters have tons of extra material at the waist and arms, and the fitted ones (e.g., merino v-necks) are typically too light-weight to offer sufficient warmth beyond serving as one of several layers in my climate. Any recommendations?

Banana Republic has lost their mind/Looking for a burgundy cardigan
The JCF burgundy merino cardigan that has been posted a few times sold out back in September in XS, and the J Crew Cotton Cashmere version in XS did as well. So I've been on the lookout for a nice burgundy cardigan for the past couple months.
Strolling through Banana Republic's website, I see one. Awesome! But that price? Ouch! That's like J Crew Wallace & Barnes pricing. Surely this must be a high cashmere blend. *Scrolls dow...

Washing wool sweaters in front-loading washing machine?
I have a couple wool v-necks that I rarely wear because I don't want to hand wash them or pay for dry cleaning. And I'd like to buy one of these wool henleys I liked: http://bananarepublic.gap.com/browse...=1714080220001 but not if I have to hand wash it.
Has anyone tried washing Merino wool sweaters in a modern front-loading washer? My LG front-loader has a handwash/wool setting. I don't want to test it and ruin a sweater....

FIT: Bonobos Slim or Standard Merino Sweater?
They are final sale, and I'm not sure which size to go with.
I wear a medium in all shirts, but the Bonobos slim fit shirts are too tight on me, and the standard fit always has to be taken in at the waist.
Suggestions or comparisons?
6 feet tall, 190 pounds. 42 inch chest, 32 inch waist.
Thank you kindly!

Jcrew Cardigan Advice
I'm looking to buy the first few cardigans ever. I'm looking at the moment at J.Crew softspun cardigan sweater and their merino wool cardigan. Can someone testify if the softspun is a better way to go ($10 more) than the tried and true merino? I'm slightly less concerned about comfort than I am more on durability (piling, holes, etc), although durability equal I'd pay an extra $10 for comfort.
I'm also wondering if now is a good time...

JCrew's HELLOSALE
I find the lack of article comments is hurting my appreciation of the site. I appreciated all the tidbits of wisdom down there, and I find myself constantly wanting to comment on the latest post with something brief that typically doesn't warrant creating an entirely new thread in the forum. Can I cast a vote that if Joe insists on not having a comment section below the article because it's difficult to manage, then we at least get a link at the...
