I found another entrant in the Made in the USA, good quality / price leather bag category. Custom Hide:

I really like some of their bags and the price is even lower than Rustic Leather for similar sized items, plus there's a lot of variety.

it's just as pricey as Saddleback, but they claim to be higher quality and made in USA (Saddleback is made in Mexico)

That place looks pretty awesome too... Tough decisions.


The deciding factor for me might be resale value. You can resell a Saddleback on eBay. Same with Swaine Adeney Brigg, Lotuff, Frank Clegg, Glaser Designs, Pineider, Tustings... On the other hand the customhide one's are 1/2 the price and I could get a bag and a sweet weekender bag for a little more than just a bag from Saddleback.


Got a while to plan this one, but there's a lot of choices.
