How much shoe toe curling up is too much?

Have you guys noticed how much your toes on the shoes curl up? How much the front is off the ground when you are standing straight with weight on your heels?

How much is elf territory (I'm thinking Will Ferrel more than Orlando Bloom)?

I just got AE fifth Aves and compared them to my Rutlands (discontinued, Strand cousin on 4 last) side by side and the toes are off the ground significantly more.

I think this is how it comes from the factory as I google imaged and youtubed and they were all roughly the same vertical distance as mine.

That. Exactly that. That is too much toe curl. Actually, now that I think about it, any toe curl is probably too much. Just my opinion of course.

Any toe curling is too much. Unless they're rock climbing shoes...

A few dappered approved favorites would like to take a moment to disagree.

all shoes have some type of toe curling, some more than others. the curl aides in walking. this i learned from a friend who is an industrial designer.

as far as too much toe curling, if someone asks you for their three wishes, too much.
