Overcoat or similar for suits in cold months?

Hi, it's getting really cold here (20-30F), and I need to do some interviews soon.

I just realized that I've never worn a coat over my suits because I've pretty much always used them in warmer months.

Any suggestions for fairly slim overcoats for suits that aren't too long? I'm only 5'9 and don't want to look completely swallowed up by it.

Just run to Macy's and try a bunch on maybe?

Macy's/JCP would be a solid pit stop. I picked up the clairborne overcoat (something like 70wool/30poly) for $49 after thanksgiving. It's a charcoal herringbone and has turned in to a solid workhorse jacket. Length is pretty close to what you're looking for. Would be worth checking it out

Bought this one at a Black Friday sale and have received universal compliments on it.

Macy's has a great Tommy Hilfiger gray black herringbone coat. I purchased a Cole Haan wool blend charcoal overcoat at Marshall's. I like a topcoat that hits lower thigh and it fit the bill.
