A grey Stormy Kromer (a gift from my dad several Christmases ago). Best for moderately cold, sunny days. The pull-down ear flap protects from a little bit of wind but doesn't provide much warmth, so I won't wear this hat in temps much lower than 20┬░ F.

And a brown merino wool watch cap, $15 from Sierra Trading Post. Military style minus the itch.

For the coldest of the cold days, though, I have a Dale of Norway hat that my dad bought me ages ago. It's not terribly flattering but it's wool, covers my ears, and is fully lined with windproof fleece. Mine is actually orange rather than red, as the picture shows.

My Winter hat of choice? I great buffalo plaid Hunters Hat I picked up. I know I'll catch some flack for it but it reminds me of old riffle magazines my grandpa gave me and the Catcher and the Rye. Also it does it's job. What's your guys winter hat of choice?
