    Watch Straps

Can I get some recommendations on watch-strap makers with reputable quality? I'd also prefer to keep my budget under $30.

    Thanks for any help!

    What kind of material?

    NATO Straps, my favorite is:

Brady makes cool, leather Sail Clothe style straps at just over $30

Tao has a decent selection for $20 and they used to have a coupon if you signed up for their newsletter. The only watch i own from them, however, has a rubber strap (which I'm happy with.

I'd avoid an alligator or croc grain strap below $30 because they usually feel like plastic.

Go on watch forums and there are a lot of people who custom make straps out of old, surplus leather, bags, or belts. And they can be really affordable and unique - especially popular with the PAM guys.

And without saying, of course, eBay.

Hadley Roma does some nice leather straps in the <$30 range. Check them out on Amazon.

I'm looking for a leather strap, 20mm. I've gotten sucked into the vortex that is "watchuseek"...

I'm looking for this strap or something just like it:

          I've found these:

I purchased a leather strap during the Cyber Monday sale from Crown&Buckle and I'm very pleased with the quality.

Actually I bought a similar looking 20mm band from Amazon for $15:

I've had it since the end of September and have worn it almost every day.

No complaints. It's a bit thick (1/8") but seems durable. I rub leftover Lexol on it after I finish working on my shoes.

              My Measurements: 6' 1" height, 35" sleeves, 41-42" chest/jacket, 35" waist, 34" inseam, 11.5D/EEE shoes, 200 lbs

                Check out this place:

They have shell cordovan straps for $15 and pretty much anything else you could imagine

@YackoYak what's the watch? Got more pics? Looks very nice

@JC, those are some sick prices. I would totally take a chance on some of those bands.

The watch is the Bulova Men's 96B104 Strap Silver Dial Watch. I bought it when I couldn't find the silver-dialed Skagen Joe posted on the blog. At the time I bought it on Amazon for $87 shipped.

If you need more pics of the watch let me know. It's my go-to brown dress watch. I think the band may weigh more than the watch.

                    My Measurements: 6' 1" height, 35" sleeves, 41-42" chest/jacket, 35" waist, 34" inseam, 11.5D/EEE shoes, 200 lbs

The guys over at seemed to like them, the cordovan in particular. Cordovan is usually really expensive (at least in shoes) so $15 for a watch strap is great.
