What shoes with JCF suit

It is time. Everyone needs a pair of black cap toe balmorals for interviews, weddings, funerals, dates, more formal receptions, etc.

a chocolate brown wouldn't necessarily look bad, but it wouldnt be my first choice, seeing as the suit is very solid dark grey

I also vote brown. Personally I think brown shoes look best with everything except for a black suit. Personal taste and the formality of the occasion may dictate however...

heather grey is a dark charcoal suit. i have all the originals. "charcoal" is their light one. i wouldnt wear anything but black shoes, but oxblood can probably be fine, as well as a dark tan, such as the bourbon shade from Allen edmonds

It's actually the "heather grey". I tried finding a picture but I couldn't. It's lighter than the one in the above photo.

Dark brown or burgundy shoes are probably ok. Mid or light brown shoes, probably not. Generally you want your shoes to be as dark or darker in color than your suit.

I have a JCF Thompson suit coming in "heather grey." Can I wear brown shoes with this? Or is it time to invest in some black shoes? Currently I don't own any black shoes. Your thoughts?
