    Tipped linen pocketsquare for groomsmen?

    Guys,

Weddings seem to be the way to analyze and over-analyze things I'd normally barely think twice about. Still, I've been working on this for a while and still don't have a solid decision, so I wanted to see if anyone here has some ideas.

Here's the tie I think I decided on, the orange version:

We're trying to do rich, bold fall colors. And the guys are all wearing their own suits in different colors, so this seems like it would go with most any suit color.

I thought it could be fun and help everyone look more uniform if there was a pocket square too. I like the crisp look of a white pocket square tipped with color.

    Here's a couple I was looking at:

    http://www.jpressonline.com/linen-po...burgundy-trim/

The JCrew one seems like too much of a springy color. I like the JPress ones the best and the quality looks good, but their colors don't coordinate with the tie right? And the Tie Bar has the best color choices, but I ordered one and the quality wasn't great. The trim is not stitched very well, thought I think it is too small of a detail to really notice.

Thanks for any advice you can share! Save me from my wedding-related over-analysis.

I would just go with the Tie Bar one. The color is right, and I think your instinct is right that quality isn't a big concern for a detail this small.

Thanks for the advice. If I had more time I would order more and try them out, but we're two weeks out now and I don't want to deal with all the returns either.

I agree with this and would add that uniformity might also be enhanced with coordinating boutonnières (if that's something you're doing), so the pocket squares might be a less important detail than you are currently anticipating.

Warning on the Tie Bar square: it has flat seamed edges, which produce a very different look from the hand-rolled edges. It's not necessarily a matter of better or worse, but the colored edges will be much more pronounced on the flat seams.

For higher quality, one of these from Kent Wang might work:
