Style question: Stafford Merino Flannel and Calibrate Gingham

Got a style question for whoever is interested in giving some advice. Just picked up one of the Stafford Merino Wool blazers from JCP in grey flannel. http://www.jcpenney.com/men/view-all...317044530M.tif Got it for about $70 with a coupon. I found it to be pretty good for the price. Had to get the sides taken in, but I am very happy with it overall.

Anyway, for some reasons I am set on breaking it out with the Calibrate Bold Gingham shirt in black (http://dappered.com/2012/09/how-to-w...k-dress-shirt/). I want to go tieless and was leaning towards a pair of dark denim and maybe a white cotton pocket square. Wasn't sure about the shoes to go with it, or if jeans would really go well. I want to keep it causal though. Any of you have some suggestions or thoughts? Thanks!

I think some dark jeans would go really well (think inky indigo). I'd go in the brown direction with shoes. I would also think a pair of navy chucks or some other pair of casual sneakers would work also.

Sounds like a solid outfit to me. Definitely something I would wear

As for shoes, I'd go for boots: suede/calf chukkas, work boots, chelseas, etc. Brouges would be good too.

Thanks for the tips fellas. I was unsure about brown shoes with this outfit, but I think you have convinced me. I am thinking the Stafford Camlins (w black shoe polish) or a pair if chocolate suede chukkas and a brown belt.
