Echoing @livinlapitaloca, I bought last year's model last November (slightly lighter gray) and it lasted all through a Michigan winter, still holding up this year. I would recommend it for the money.

Thanks, Jason! I figured you just had it confused with a similar site. It's tough to keep them all straight.

I tried on the Target pea coat a few weeks ago and would definitely pick it up if I didn't already have too many coats. It looks a lot better in person than in the website picture.

I don't see any Schott stuff on Hautelook right now... What am I missing?

I bought the same Peacoat last winter. So fair it's been holding up pretty well - my only issue after a year of wear is that the lining ripped a bit at the sleeve seam. Pretty good deal, does fit a tad bit boxy though.

Thanks for the review minishark. Appreciate it.

JC, I'm holding you responsible when my checking account is empty. That's a nice looking coat. Time for a pros and cons list.

Speaking of Schott... Their Melton wool peacoat is available for $135 at Hautelook if you want to spend a bit more to get the original classic

I bought it a few weeks ago, and I like it. I've received many compliments on it as well. The fit is relatively slim, it's plenty warm enough, and I've had no problems with the construction so far. Obviously it's not as good as a Schott or Sterlingwear peacoat - it's not heavy-duty and I don't expect it to last a decade - but I wanted a cheap beater coat that I could throw around, and this fits the bill nicely.

Anyone have any in person looks at this peacoat from Target? I'm not expecting perfection for $55 but it piqued my interest since I've been very pleased with some other Target items lately.
