    Suit Supply Markdowns

I just thought I would give folks a heads up since this appears to be the first time that SuitSupply have had anything like an online sale. They've marked a bunch of summer jackets down to $149.

Almost all the jackets have a full range of sizes (including the tiny ones and the massive ones). The only thing is that with the exception of the one Copenhagen they are all some fairly odd double breasted cotton jackets. But if you ever thought of gambling on on something a bit odder this is the price point to do it at. They also offer free returns which makes it a bit easier to take a flyer on.

Copenhagen in blue linen (it is actually the "Paris" which I guess is the same fit with different fabrics if I remember its earlier description before they changed the website title). That cut is always super short, but appearently this one is an extra 1.25ish inches shorter than other Copenhagen jackets in the 38r. I have a 38L on the way (normally a 38r). Unlined body, 100% linen, patch pockets. Could be a steal for a casual summer blazer if they fit doesn't turn out to be nuts and you are okay with thin lapels.

Unnamed DB in khaki: (looks like a trench coat that was cut in half)

Soho in cotton-linen (probably the best of a weird lot. Go sit on a wall on a sunny day and pretend you're an italian on an American fashion blog. Soft shoulders, suppressed waist)

Posted elsewhere but doesn't hurt to post it again. Ordered that copenhagen linen jacket in 38R, 38L, and 40R. Wishing I'd done 40L instead of 38R now, but was worried the sleeves on the 40L would be too long. I'm a 38R in JCF Thompson and BB Fitzgerald so I'm hoping the 38L or 40R fits well. The material isn't from any fancy mill but it's unlined and should be perfect for 3/4 of the year here in TX.

Agreed. Also safe because the Copenhagen is so darn short, as a tall guy I feel like it'd look like I'm trying to squeeze into a kids jacket (admittedly I wear more conservative cut suits (traditional length, prefer normal lapels to skinny, etc.)).

Thanks for the heads-up, clp! I'm giving the Copenhagen a shot, but I sized up because it's definitely smaller than their other jackets. Double-breasted is almost tempting at that price, but the cut and colour just look too trendy for me.

Awesome! SS+AE deals= $800 poorer for now. Hopefully, I'll return some stuff...

anyone have any good pictures of the copenhagen in person? The pictures on the SS look meh, but the video they have make the blue look a lot darker.

I grabbed the rust-colored double-breasted jacket. I think it's going to be good for fall. I bought the $50 Express DB jacket that was featured on Dappered last month and I actually like the look.

And, free returns, so worst case I'm out the $10 for shipping.

I just got the Copenhagen. I normally wear 38R and bought that size. It fits well but is a little short, which I think is the intention for a super-casual jacket.

That said, while I like it I don't love it so am thinking about returning it. It's even rougher and more casual than I expected. If I had unlimited funds I'd keep it for sure, but at the moment it seems about the same as wearing a cardigan in terms of formality, but at much higher cost. Am thinking about it.

I am sad to report that my blue Copenhagen jackets will be sent back. They're actually the "Paris" fit, which measures even shorter in length than the Copenhagen. The lapels are tiny, the jacket length is very short, but the sleeve length is relatively long. I'm usually 38R and both a 38 and 40R looked goofy on me. Too bad!

Same thing here. I really liked the fabric and style of the jacket but it was far too short. Also, I found that it didn't sit well on my shoulders. I had an unusually large gap between my neck and the collar.

Wow, I hated everything about the blue linen copenhagen, from the color to the cut to the fabric. Too short, awful material (I have a linen unlined jacket, it gives more structure than this), the color looks like I dug it out of the attic. Sorry I didn't take pics for y'all. On their way back.
