    JCrew vs JCrew Factory

Has anyone here purchased any shirts from JCrew Factory? If so, how does the fit and quality of these shirts compare to those from retail JCrew? Any insight is appreciated.

LOL, Im your man JBlack. I have purchased shirts and chinos from the Factory. Start with the shirts, they fit just like a regular J. Crew shirt. I got a tatersall "washed" (which means wrinkled i guess), tailored fit cut and it was a great fit. I also bought a flannel shirt as well and it fits just like the tatersall.

the pant however were a different story. I got the classic chinos in stone wash and they feel fine through the hips and thigh, but there is too much material at the calf and i will need to take it to the tailor to get it slimmed.

Factory stores do not carry the same clothes at the same quality as the retail stores. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, just keep in mind that you aren't getting as great a deal as you think. However, if the article is what you wanted for the price you paid, then it's win/win.

wow to that article...i am outraged, but not so much as some of those commentors...I usually know that they wont stack up 100 percent, but i dont really let it bother me since i am shopping for the deal and the style and fit not so much the brand name ya know.

I've had less than optimal results. The large shirts I purchased from there had extra long sleeves for some reason. It's almost like a tall sizing.
