Anyone ever used online jewelry sites?

Looking to buy wedding bands for my partner's and my wedding next month -- Tiffany tastes and Zales budget here. Anyone had any experience of online jewelry suppliers like BlueNile.com??

    Thanks.

I used Blue Nile a few years back to buy my wife's engagement ring. No problems, great price, great quality.

Like gcooper, I also purchased an engagement ring from bluenile.com a few years back. Unlike gcooper, the engagement didn't work out. lol

Excellent service, including resizing. I would definitely use them again.

I guess since this thread was brought back from the dead I'll add my experience in case someone else is on the fence:

I told myself I would never buy an engagement ring online. After shopping around the major jewelry stores I realized how much of a deal you can get (20-30% off) and how much larger their selection is online. After looking at different loose stones in person I realized which of the C's were most important to me. I bought exactly what I was looking for in a semi-custom setting at JamesAllen.com.

I sized it based on other rings in her jewerly box but still came up 2.5 sizes too large (she changed shape since she wore those rings). I ended up having to send it back to be fitted in a new setting as they couldn't take that much off the original. It took longer than expected (3-4 weeks)but I also bought a custom wedding band that nested with the setting perfectly for not much more than a traditional band at a brick and mortar store. Customer service was excellent and despite the wait, I would do it again. My wife loves the ring and I think I got a steal. The diamond came with full certs and I verified it locally.

        My Measurements: 6' 1" height, 35" sleeves, 41-42" chest/jacket, 35" waist, 34" inseam, 11.5D/EEE shoes, 200 lbs

I purchased both wedding bands and engagement rings online. Bluenile. Went to stores in person to get a sense of what I was looking for, and then designed and purchased online. Full customization is a nice touch and the customer service was great. Adjusted shipping details after it had left the factory and no problem. Not to mention prices are better due to less overhead. Came with certs, I had it appraised locally, and came out more than double what I paid for it. Both of us were happy with the product and I recommend to everyone.
