'Best' no-show socks?

I don't recall seeing a thread about no-show socks, or rather, about the best no show socks so I thought I'd start one.

What are your favorite no-show socks? I've used the generic ones from Journeys for a few years, but they're not very comfortable, slip quite a bit, and aren't always no-show depending on the pair of shoes. I did buy 2 pair from Uniqlo when I was in SF the other month and I love them. I'd say they're my favorite no-show socks because they're thin, comfortable, stay in place (silicon on heel), and truly are no-show. Unfortunately, they're no longer on Uniqlo's website, nor do I have any future trips to SF planned to pick up more.

I personally can't stand no-shows, but I love washable insoles. No-shows are good in theory, but they look ridiculous when you end up having to take your shoes off. Then again, bare feet are kind of gross, so I'm not sure what to do about that.

I use Converse "Cut for Chucks." You can get a six-pack for not too much money and free shipping on Zappos. They might not be cut low enough for some loafers but they work well on more modern, high vamp style loafers.

Wow, that's a long link... Anyway, they worked out great under my Jack Purcells. The heel has the same sillicone grip that you mentioned, and they didn't slip at all throughout the course of the day.

I just changed this year to no-shows. I just have the ones from Journeys, which I can't imagine would fit any worse than another brand. $10 for 5 pairs = done.

I get the 5 pack from journeys for 9.99. I get them a size smaller so they are snug and don't show with any of my shoes. Best value IMO

I'm not a fan of insoles because of the amount of space they take up in the shoes.

Unless Journey's has recently changed their no-show sock offering, they are completely garbage. Sadly, I've bought them each summer for the past 3 years. For starters, the elastic band around the sock always seems to dig into the top of my foot and ankle and leave marks. There are no silicon pads on the back to keep the heel from slipping. They're also not completely 'no show' especially when wearing loafers and sometimes boat shoes. For chucks and vans, yeah, but that's about it. But in the end, they're not very comfortable period.

Oddly enough, I went to H&M today to buy a cheap pair of linen pants and they had no-show socks 2 pair for $5.95. So I picked up 4 pair and we'll see how they work. They're thinner and cut lower (wider? more open?) than journey's socks (which again, I hate), and have silicon on the heel so they shouldn't slip. For the price, they're a no brainer.

If anyone is up in the Bay area and can stop into Uniqlo to see if they have any no show socks, I will gladly pay for a few pair along with shipping (plus a few bucks for your time if necessary).

I have some moccsocks I bought from Maxton Men and they didn't really work too well for me, they just slip off my heel all the time. I bought some from JCrew that worked better because they have one of those grip pads at the heel to help keep them on.

I have ones from BR and from JCrew factory. I like the JCF ones better because they are a bit more no-show than the BR ones.
