I suppose that's up to you. both are nice jackets. the EB is half the price of the schott -- and has fur. that being said, my grandfather has a schott, and it's unbelievable. so heavy, just feels good in your hands, like something you'll have forever.
people always talk about how if you take care of shoes, or jackets, you can have them forever, but most of us know it never works that way. I think the schott (and maybe the EB, I don't know) is a jacket that you don't have to treat nicely, and it could legitimately last you for the rest of your life
I bought a vintage/used Schott motorcycle jacket last year at a men's resale shop for $50. Definitely something that will last me forever. I wouldn't be able to stomach $600 for it, but it's a sweet jacket for sure.
I have never bought a leather jacket new. To my mind it is one of the few things that improves with age. As long as it has been taken care of, of course.
From these two jackets I prefer the Schott, but that is just my personal preference.
