    Single vs Double vents

I have been shopping for a solid navy suit and after trying many on, I loved the off the rack fit on Theory the best. One thing that's bothering me is the vent on the jacket. It's single vent and I think I prefer the look on the double vents. What are you guys' thoughts on this?

If a jacket fits well, it really doesn't matter if it's one vent or two. If single vent bothers YOU, then it's an easy decision: skip it. Why wear something you're not comfortable in?

i am good with which ever, as someone with a wider posterior from sports, i require a vent. i prefer the 2 becasue it allows greater movement of the jacket and a more comfortable ride. But if you like the suit alot dont let something you wont see bother the purchase.

Yea I'm loving the overall suit aside from the vent issue.. I may have to bite and get it. I'm sure overtime, the vent won't bother me.

I have to stick with double vents almost exclusively. Like MaxMan, I have a "wider posterior", and double vents are *much* more flattering on my physique.

Another thing to consider: Double vented jackets can be brought in more at the waist than a single vent jacket. This is because the vents begin to spread apart from too much tailoring sooner on singe vented jackets than on double vented jackets. I'm very slim and like my jackets very trim-fitting, so this is another reason I have to stick to side vents.

I'm a skinny guy and I preferred single vents since the only double vent I had looked a bit boxy on me. I've since tried on a double vent that was cut a lot better, and I agree with Butch_Z. If the jacket fits you really well, single vs. double vent shouldn't effect the aesthetics of the suit much. It's really a movement issue.
