Fit Guide: Super Skinny (avg. height)

    Hi guys,

I think we should create a guide for each body type. This should definitely include which brands and clothing items are best for your body and which are worst, as well as any other tips people think are relevant.

I'm super skinny but avg. height (5' 7'' / 1.7 m and 105 lb. / 47.6 kg) and it's pretty hard to find clothing that fits me well. I'm also pretty new at wearing clothes that fit and look decent. So far I have found:

    Thanks

Lovely, seems like I am in your ball park. I'm 5'8 and hover around 125 with a 34 chest? (Not quite sure)

Things that fit amazingly in every regard:

    H&M Small knit hoodie/sweater thing (size S)
American Eagle Cotton Canvas hoodie (XS)
Uniqulo button down oxford (S, but bought in Asia so I am not sure if it translates directly to sizes offered here 34 chest)
Lacoste short sleeve shirt after two washes (kinda like a polo but not...) (S, but also bought in Asia)
Bananna Republic sweater? (not sure what to call it but basically long sleeve Cotton shirt with shawl collar) (XS)
CK v neck sweater (S/P) a bit thin and pills, but fit is amazing
Roberta di Camerino Dress shit (37)
    7 for mankind jeans (28)

    Things that fit well:

US Polo Assn Button down oxford (XS) fits fine over all, collar too small though. Strictly open collar/v neck look.
US Polo Assn Sweater (S) Fits perfectly expect the sleeves taper quite dramatically, snug even for my 6" wrist. I think it shrunk a little as well.
Bananna Republic Sweater (XS) Sleeves a tad long, kinda boxy but I am beyond skinny so with a 40 chest might fit ok.
Pierre Cardin Dress Shirt (S) Fits fine, could be taken in a tiny bit to make it fit amazingly but no need.
Super Dry Military Jacket: Very trim brand, bought a size too large (L) but still fits fine expect for sleeves. In hindsight I should have gotten a M, but for a jacket's sake it looks ok. Not Boxy at all.

Now anyone know good brands for sport coats for us skinny folk? (34-36)

I bought a blazer at H&M a few years back at size 34, I believe uniqlo also does, but they may not be local to a lot of people, myself included.

Thanks! Anything higher quality though? If Im going to spend on a sports coat, it might as well last.

@aqwayne93 thanks for all the info. Any idea where I can pick up a belt in 28 waist? Also where can I find a "Roberta di Camerino" dress shirt?

Compared to other cheap stores (like Old Navy), Target "athletic fit" smalls surprisingly fit ok.
