I love chrono watches, but on more than one occasion, I've started the chronograph and then forgotten about it until the next morning when the chronograph was reading more than 15 hours. I don't know how much the chronograph function affects battery drain, but I have to imagine that it would be more than the regular time-keeping function.

Hope that your Casio does well with a new implant of energy.

Yea, I've done this a number of times. I know there have been times when it's run for days.

Ok, so I found a new band for the Casio Speedy, it's pretty nice considering the $9.99 price on Amazon. However, this replacement bracelet does not have solid end links like the OEM bracelet but this one does have solid links and a polished ends on the center link that creates that polished inner-band, similar to the Omega. As a result, it creates an excellent homage to the Omegas. The Amazon band is also slightly lighter than the OEM bracelet but doesn't feel cheap. I switched over to it and like the look better than the original.

Gotta love reviving an old thread...

Quick (and easy?) question. Knowing that the white faced Casio is now around $120 - $160 depending on where you look, what's a reasonable price to purchase a used one? Prices seem to be all over the place. Or is it like most things in life, and it depends on what the buyer is willing to spend?

This is probably the most accurate.

yes. I would say if you find it for under $100 consider it. If it is under $75, dont hesitate.

I just scored a used blue one off the bay this morning for $51 plus $10 shipping. It's coming from China so we'll have to see how it turns out. Point being of you wait long enough and keep a lookout, you can probably find a white one for around $70-$80

I was watching that auction just for the hell of it. Nice pickup!

Seriously? I got all distracted with my current purchase, havent searched for a blue in forever. I hate both of you because I missed it. Yes, that logic makes sense on the internet.

I was tempted to bid, but I just bought a different quartz chronograph earlier this month. Also, a bright blue watch doesn't really fit my rotation at this point, and I'm saving my spending money for some suede chukkas and polo shirts. $60 shipped is a sweet deal for that watch.

Nice score on the watch. I'll have to start checking out the eBay bids/auctions again. I slacked off for a long while trying to decide on pricepoints and how much effort I wanted to put in to finding this particular watch.

The black EF-503 is on sale on amazon for $40. I think it may be out of stock at the moment but it's letting me checkout and says estimated delivery on June 9 (with prime shipping) http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B003UR...ds=casio+ef503

Oh man...watch sales are killing me right now! Just picked up the Casio MDV-106 and Timex Weekender Chrono from Target during their 30% off sale. Now this sale at Amazon.
I guess the good news is that if I pick up this watch, all I have left to complete my initial collection is to snag a Bulova 96B104 for my dress watch.
