Land's End had a cotton herringbone suit for a pretty good price ($148.38, shipped free) during their last sale and I liked the look of it, so I bought it. Now that it's here, I'm torn. The construction is solid, the fabric is hefty in a good way, and it's going to need minimal tailoring to get it to fit right. Except the jacket is too long, and they don't offer it in short lengths. I'm 5'8", so I'm pretty used to having to send stuff back because of length. But aside from the one issue, I really, really like it. It's just that the bottom edge of the jacket is 2" longer than it really should be. So how long is too long?
As a secondary question (and to quiet/verify the little voice of doubt in the back of my mind), is the pattern too much?
