Glossy, which makes it look even more synthetic than need be. But if you like it "shrug" why not.

With the sheer number of leather jackets I see pass through thrift stores on a regular basis, I'd be more inclined to check my local thrifts on a regular basis (once a week at least, assuming you don't thrift already) for a few months than go for $75 on a synthetic. I don't claim to be a leather guru so I don't know what to look for in "quality" leather but if you can find something in real leather, from a brand you recognize, at thrift store prices, you'll probably be doing better than that synthetic Tommy Hilfiger.
