I picked them up from nordstrom online for $80. They were the last pair and my size so I figured I would pull the trigger and return if I did not like them. Im not a big fan of the logo and if I do keep them I will replace the tassels with a leather lace to tie. I'm a huge fan of the color as I already own the johnston and murphy kholson in the dark brown. Feedback on the purchase would be great...

Never liked having a wedge of rubber sole on the heel of my shoe.
But then again I came around to boat shoes after having my hate on them for years so time's a changin lads.

I like the minnetonkas you linked too, they seem more casual than other offerings though. Minnetonka makes good stuff for the price. I got my driving mocs from the Clark's outlet for $40 last summer, they get worn often in the warmer months.

Are you guys actually wearing these just for driving or are these everyday walk-around shoes?
I've never found them to be very attractive or comfortable, personally.

I got my steve madden driving mocs at dsw for 50$.
I beat the piss out of them and they still look ok.

I have some of the DSW brand ones too:
http://www.dsw.com/shoe/mercanti+fio...ductRef=SEARCH
I think that is the ones, but mine are the orange/cognac (what the hell is that color?) color. They are nice, comfy, and look like a much pricier shoe, IMO.
I also just snagged a pair of Banana Republic's Gabriel penny-loafer version of the driving moc:
http://bananarepublic.gap.com/browse....google.com%2F
Those were marked down to about $70 in-store, and then I applied the 40% off of already marked down goods, so they were a steal at $42, or so. .... I *hope*. I have yet to give them a good wearing. I know *some* of BR's shoes get some bad reviews, but these felt AWESOME on - almost like they *weren't* on - just like a comfy driver should.
