Need Opinions - what to wear with black corded blazer....

I recently picked up a black corded blazer and want to pair it with jeans. Need some opinions. First, what color jeans? Second, what color belt and shoes are appropriate?

Agree with JC. You can break the "never black + brown" rule here because the jacket fabric is casual. Black shoes & belt are safe if you don't feel comfortable. Wear darker pants; raw/salvage is a good suggestion.

Black and gray will work too. I know the jacket Will is wearing here is velvet:

I would probably trade out that waistcoat for a v neck sweater in purple.

I wouldn't wear it like this!

Ditto JC and Yacko. Casual black jackets look great with brown leather accessories. I love wearing my black waxed cotton jacket with a brown belt and my brown Timberland stomper boots. Black is a safe option as well. You can probably even mix things up a bit if you're feeling adventurous - this summer I frequently paired my grey suede wingtips with my yellow silk D-ring belt, and wore a casual blazer on top.

Corduroy will always look good with denim, but stick to darker denim. That applies as a general rule in 99% of situations that don't involve painting or gardening.
