The wife and I are attending two Christmas parties this year one for my company and one for her workplace. My company is in finance and our day to day wear is shirts and ties no jackets. Our Christmas party is jacket required. The wifey's work place is on the casual side of business casual and the party is casual.

    My party:
Two button Tailor4Less custom wool Navy Blazer with working sleeve button holes and awesome red lining
White French Cuff point collar custom shirt from Tailor4Less
Tiebar light pink navy blue and white stripe tie
    Tiebar light pink pocket silk
Vintage Sterling silver and pink cameo cufflinks
    Bulova 96b104 with brown strap
Silver Grey RL flat front pants
Johnston and Murphy Larsey Brown dress boots and matching belt

    Wifey party:
Light Tan Cotton 3 button Tailor4less custom blazer
White spread collar french cuff Tailor4less custom shirt
Dark wash Nautica jeans tailored for length
    Custom Lego Chewbacca Cufflinks
Invicta 3047 Grand Diver with Green bezel
    Brown 1 1/2 belt from Bullhidebelts.com
    Brown J&M Burchfield boots

I'm going to an ugly Christmas sweater party. So I will be hitting the thrift stores pretty hard this weekend to find the right specimen. I am thinking something in a cardigan.

Am I missing a play on words here?

Masquerade ball/party, wear mask, dress well. Hope some drop dead gorgeous women are there and you hit the jackpot etc.

$100 a ticket, new years eve of course, not day.

I'm in Canada and have never heard of a New Years Masquerade. Is that an Albertan tradition?

Since it's Alberta, does that mean you're wearing a Canadian Tuxedo?
