hey dappered community. looking for some opinions:
i've got a khaki suit i'm planning on wearing to my wedding next summer. my best man (running without any groomsmen) will also be wearing a khaki suit. since we are likely also going to be wearing same-colored ties (either purple or green), i was trying to come up with a way to distinguish my outfit from his. i'm not even certain that it would be necessary, but i've been entertaining some ideas.
the one that's currently leading the pack is to wear a khaki suit vest to turn my suit into a three-piece. pro: it would create a distinction between me as the groom and my best man, and it would add to the formality of the event. con: it might be a little hot...and it's a khaki suit - can a khaki suit really take on a third piece?
the suit i'm wearing is the tommy khaki poplin on sale at macys.com, so it has nice, crisp lines and a solid fit. aside from the color, it is far from casual.
so what do you think? can a khaki suit go three-piece without being ridiculous?
