Weekend bag in the $200-$300 range!

My wife and I both need new weekend bags. We go to the beach for the weekend a far amount. Also, I’m having to do a far amount of 1-2 days trips for work.

The bags we have were bought from Herschel 5-6 years ago. They are fine for the price (<$100), but we are wanting something of better quality.

I’m was leaning toward a bag from Filson. It’s $400 and the idea of spending $800 (bag for both my wife and I) is just a bit much for my spouse. Also she doesn’t like the color options.

I prefer a waxed canvas bag in the $200-$300 range. A few color options would be nice with some more masculine and feminine options.

Here’s the bag I have and love: https://www.boardingpassnyc.com/prod...ender-bag-navy

I had a discount code for it when I bought it. May be worth reaching out to them to ask.

Frost River has some pretty nice stuff.

      https://www.frostriver.com/flight-bag/

Made in Minnesota, lifetime guarantee. The carry-on is $210 and 14x20x10. Seems pretty ideal for your goals.

Buffalo Jackson has some great stuff but it's 300-ish (plus or minus depending on specific model) for their waxed canvas lineup.

I assume you have seen the offerings from LL Bean and Land's End, which would be near the top of my list if I were in the market:

I have a Frost River bag for a weekender. It's nice and nice looking, and I use it a lot for road trips. When I'm flying I prefer a roller bag.

I don't think they have anything waxed, but you can't beat Briggs & Riley on their lifetime warranty. Some of the items are in your price range. If you have some time and are patient, get on the mailing list. Sometimes they have rare sales with as much as 50% off.

Indeed, this is one of those duffle bags that allows you to pack a suit and it's on sale:

Can't say I like the color, or I'd buy one myself. But you might like it.
WHY ARE THE GUYS IN SUITS HERE? HAS SOMETHING GONE WRONG?

Thanks for the options. We ended up going with the Board Pass NYC bags. My 14 y/o also needs a new weekend bag, so we bought all 3 colors from their weekend bag collection. My spouse has recently has gotten to “Lazy Genius”
so the ability to buy 3 different colored bags from the same collection was quite appealing to her
