Anyone have experience with "folding" bikes?

I want to get one that both the wife and I can share for the time being. I see it as a win/win because they are affordable and take up minimal space. Does anyone have any experience with these type of bikes? Any recommendations?

Yes, I have a Tern Link D8 and its awesome. If you're near enough to a dealer that sells them, you should test ride some, and see how they fold, and how they can be carried/rolled when folded. The NYC bike shop Nycewheels website has lots of great video reviews and helpful info to get you started.
